According to new figures from @eMarketer, adults in the US spend an average of 5 hours and 31 minutes watching video each day in 2015. Furthermore, it is digital video viewing across devices that is driving this growth. Time spent with video on digital devices (PCs, mobile devices, & other connected devices) totaled 21 minutes daily in 2011 (4 hrs & 35 mins on TV, total: 4 hrs & 56 mins). In 2015, US adults will spend an average of 1 hour and 16 minutes daily with video on digital devices (4 hrs & 15 mins on TV, total: 5 hrs & 31 mins). Digital video is growing, because video content is more popular than ever. However, advertising dollars flow disproportionately to TV as 40.2% of US major media ad spending will go to TV (36.4% of time spent with media daily), while just 4.4% will go to digital video ads ( 11% of time spent with media daily). - Link
