@Unilever’s @Dove, a big advocate of self-esteem, partnered with @twitter for its new #SpeakBeautiful campaign to boost self esteem via Twitter. A study by Twitter found that every 4 of 5 negative tweets posted about beauty and body images are from women posting negative tweets about themselves. Dove and Twitter partnered to see what would happen if another Twitter account took negative tweets and replied to the posters and a few of their followers with positive ones. The result was a big positive domino effect. Thus, Dove and Twitter kicked off their new campaign Oscar night using a Twitter tool that identifies certain key words and then used Dove's account to tweet back positive responses. The #SpeakBeautiful campaign will continue throughout the year. - Link
