Total Valentine’s Day spending is expected to be ~$18.9B. More than 90% of celebrants are buying gifts for a romantic partner, and spending is expected to average ~$88 (~$11.7B in total spending). Males are expected to spend ~2.3x more on their romantic partner than women. Consumers ages 25-34 years old are both most likely to buy gifts for a significant other, and the most likely to spend the most ($125.95, on average).
