If the CPG industry can adapt to e-commerce, the potential is huge. A GMA (Grocery Manufacturers Association) report by @BCG, @google, and @iriisginc found that online buying made up only 1% of 2013’s $666B CPG sales. The same report stated that e-commerce could increase to 5% (+$35B) of CPG sales by 2018, and advance to 10% “soon thereafter.” Due to the decreasing growth of traditional retailing, this 5% increase would account for almost half of total CPG growth. - Link
