Marketers can learn a few things from the viral ALS Ice Bucket challenge:

1. “Make it fun, and make it easy”

2.  “Sometimes going local is more powerful than national”

3. “Don’t try too hard to control the message -- let other people tell the story.”

The ALS Association had received $15.6MM in donations from July 29 to Aug. 18 vs. $1.8MM during the same time period last year. - Link
